UR ANANTHAMURTHY: ( 21.12.1932-22.08.2014)

 Udupi Rajagopalacharya Ananthamurthy is a contemporary writer and critic in the Kannada language and is considered as one of the pioneers of the Navya movement. He is well known among Indian authors^. He is the sixth person among eight recipients of the Jnanpith Award for the Kannada language, the highest literary honour conferred in India. In 1998, he received the Padma Bhushan award from the Government of India. He was the Vice-Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University in Kerala during the late 1980s. He was one of the finalists of Man Booker International Prize for the year 2013

P. Krishna Pillai is the founder leader of the Communist movement in Kerala. His life, style of social and public work, leadership, humanism and above all his communist ethics will always be a textbook for all generations to learn and imbibe. Popularly known as ‘Comrade’ .

Born at Feroke on 03.03.1918. From the age of 16 onwards active in politics. He was among the 4 party card holders in Feroke. Many times, even after independence he was arrested by police and put in jail.
